I think the republicans winning in the mid term elections will be good for Obama?

If the republicans win this year, and win control of congress and nothing major get done they Obama can say Republicans haven’t got anything done since they took control of congress.

If the Republicans win Obama will cruise to re-election in 2012. Most Republicans are running on “stop government spending” when they should be running on “stop government waste”. Obama is setting them up and they are falling for it.

Obama has actually decreased the budgets for education, veterans care, and has let college tuition skyrocket. Why aren’t we seeing teachers on a rampage demanding more money? Or a handful of veterans bashing the prez for lack of funding? Why are we only getting stories of college kids getting in debt more instead of campus protests over tuition costs? We saw these things for 8 years under Bush, every night!

We aren’t seeing stories on these in the drive-by-media, nor Fox, nor hearing anything of them on radio. Obama will be proposing throwing massive amounts of money at these problems immediately when congress reconvenes next year. Any Republican who ran on cutting spending at all costs will either vote to fund these (and lose his support base) or hold to his promise and vote against all bills which increase spending. Any politician who votes against these will get crucified.

How small of an amount can be placed on your credit report?

I have a collection agency contacting me for a $35 debt for lab work (the collection agency is CCS, Credit Collection Services) and I’m going to request debt validation because I haven’t had lab work done in a long, long time and I go to the lab that my insurance requires (Qwest Diagnostics). That is also the lab my PCP uses, so I don’t know how I owe Lab Corp anything. Anyway, can this credit agency place the $35 I owe on my credit report as a delinquent account?

Yes it is true that they can report a dollar if they wanted to and by them reporting a negative account it can cost you up to 50 POINTS !!! Medical Bills can take up to two years to appear on your credit report or even in your mail box because physicians have 2 years to file a claim (a claim is the bill your produced when you had services and they submit it to your insurance company). Thats why sometimes we get medical bills and have no clue why or when they were from. If you dispute the account within 30 of receiving the note they are not allowed by law to report you until the validation process is complete. For $35 dollars, I would pay it just to make sure it does not DROP my Credit Score…and wait for the refund later….. Christine

my husband and i are in serious debt. we owe creditors about 3,500 dollars. can anyone please direct me to a credit counseling service that is free or that will help me for cheap.
my husband and i are full time students and we are working part time. we also have a 7 month old daughter. it is hard to work extra to make extra money.

You should actually be pround of yourself for realizing your debt problems with just that much. Many have 5 digit credit card debt and haven’t realized they are in trouble.

Contact Consumer Credit Counseling Service. They are the most well-known.
